Though there may be some occasions where you might be able to get through a legal problem on your own without using an attorney, it is important to keep in mind that when you decide to represent yourself you may encounter situations that are difficult and over your head.

When your finances or freedom may be in jeopardy, it is pretty obvious that you should seek the help of an attorney. You don't want to mess around with serious legal issues if you don't have the expertise to properly navigate your way through them.

Meeting with an attorney when facing any kind of legal turmoil can provide great piece of mind. Things like taxes, real estate planning, etc. can be especially confusing and stressful, so the help of an attorney can provide a great deal of relief.

Wisdom would be to choose a home that you like and that you can afford. If you don't want to be there, then it will have negative affects on your lifestyle. If you cant afford it, then the same is true.

You need to know where your money is going and what you can expect as far as an income as well. This will help you monitor your monthly cash flow and find out if you have enough to make the specific mortgage payments you are looking at.

You should find out all you can about the attorney's experience and if they have handled cases similar to yours in the past. You should ask if they are willing to meet with you one time at no charge before you make your decision.

If there is a fee for an initial consultation, ask them how much it will be. In any case, do not expect a long first meeting; 15-30 minutes is about average. Take notes on all that the attorney has to say. Then, most importantly, take time to think it over. Once you have decided on which attorney to engage, notify them and set up an initial appointment.

Trademarks: Is anything which identifies the product or service. This can be a color logo etc... You have to use it in commerce, marketing material. It cannot be a generic name, it has to be specific. It needs to be distinctive, and the more unique the better.
