Motorola has announced that the RAZR MAXX smartphone will be available in the UK starting in mid-May. Already available in the U.S. since last year as the DROID RAZR MAXX for Verizon Wireless, the RAZR MAXX's highlight feature is its 3300mAh battery that can provide up to 17.6 hours of talk time on a single charge.
The RAZR MAXX available in the UK will not have support for LTE like its Yankee cousin, but it does feature HSPA+ connectivity. It is powered by a dual-core, 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, and its stainless steel and Kevlar body measures a mere 8.99mm thick. The phone also has a 4.3-inch qHD display with Gorilla Glass and an 8 megapixel camera.

According to The Verge, Motorola says that the RAZR MAXX will launch in the UK with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, despite the fact that the company plans to launch the same phone in Germany with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board in the same time frame. An upgrade is promised to arrive at a later time for the UK version.
Those in the UK interested in the Motorola RAZR MAXX can place a pre-order for it now, with delivery scheduled for mid-May.
