Nokia 101 offers dual-SIM capabilities on the cheap

In addition to launching the low-end Nokia 100, Nokia has also introduced the Nokia 101 today, which is very similar to the 100, save for its dual-SIM capabilities. Additionally, the 101 sports an MP3 music player for listening to tunes on the go.
Nokia is positioning the 100 and the 101 for emerging markets, like those in large parts of Africa and Asia where it is not common for every person to have a mobile phone.
The 101 offers very similar features to the 100, including the built-in flashlight, but it adds the capability to have more than one SIM card in the phone at once, as well as an MP3 player. The 101 is able to remember the address books of five different users, and stores the details of up to five SIM cards at a time. Users can plug in louder speakers to the 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for microSD cards up to 16GB in capacity allows them to store thousands of songs.
Hardware-wise, the 101 is also very similar to the 100. It measures 110mm x 45.5mm x 14.9mm (4.33in x 1.79in x 0.59in) and weighs 71g (2.5oz). It has the same 1.8-inch, 128 x 160 pixel color display and large keys for easy navigation. A 800mAh battery provides up to 6.7 hours of talk time or 25 days of standby. Nokia says that users can get 26 hours of music playback between charges when the volume is at 50 percent of its maximum volume.
Nokia will be launching the 101 in select emerging markets this quarter. It will retail for about 25 EUR (US$36), and will come in black or coral red color options. Check out the video below for a closer look at the Nokia 101.
