T-Mobile Prism Android smartphone

T-Mobile has taken the wraps off of the Prism, a new budget-friendly smartphone that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Prism sports a 3.5-inch, HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) display and is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm processor. It also packs a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capabilities,
and supports microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity. The Prism has a 1400mAh battery that T-Mobile claims is good for up to 6.5 hours of talk time or almost 17 days of standby.
Since the Prism is a budget device, it does not feature support for T-Mobile's speedy "4G" HSPA+ network, but instead makes do with more pedestrian 3G speeds. T-Mobile will offer the Prism in both slate and crimson red color options for $19.99 with a new two-year contract. It can also be purchased for $149.99 without a contract. Best Buy will be the first retailer with the phone, on May 6, while Walmart will pick it up on May 9. T-Mobile's online store and retail locations will offer the Prism starting on May 23.
